NextGallery – Help
Connect your Nextcloud
Enter your Nextcloud HTTPS base address. Choose Sign in with Nextcloud, approve device access in your browser and return to the app. The app receives its own app password; your normal account password is not stored in the app. Private servers may need a trusted CA installed by the device owner. Certificate errors are not bypassed.
No gallery?
The Chronicle server app must be installed and available for your Nextcloud account. Choose your photo folders in Settings and refresh the gallery. The Folders first mode respects nested year/month folders.
Dates and order
Folders first prioritises your manual filing. Metadata first prioritises capture metadata. File names first searches names for dates. Unknown days stay unspecified. Choose years, months, days, the date rail and sort order directly in the gallery.
Offline
Save previews in Offline, then choose Browse saved gallery. The world map needs no map server. Full originals and server videos require a connection.
Appearance and language
Choose system, light or dark appearance and German or English in Settings. The grid adapts to the screen size; tablets use navigation along the edge.
Sample gallery
Choose Explore sample gallery on the connection screen to try synthetic examples without an account.
